Description
The ICF Level 1 ACC Program refers to a coach training program that aligns with the standards set by the International Coaching Federation (ICF) for obtaining the Associate Certified Coach (ACC) credential. The ACC credential is the first of three levels of coaching certification offered by the ICF (ACC, PCC, MCC).
Key Components of an ICF Level 1 ACC Program conducted by Coaches {R}evolution™, Coaches {R}evolution Academy (C{R}A):
- 75 Hours of Coach-Specific Training:
o Coaches {R}evolution™: C{R}A provides evidence-based approaches to coach education with the latest holistic theories and methodologies that prepare coaches to coach from the heart. - 75 hours of education includes 62 hours of synchronous instruction/13 hours of asynchronous learning, covering ICF’s core competencies, ethics, and foundational coaching skills, deeply grounded in research, theories, and multiple strengths-based methodologies.
- 10 Hours of Mentor Coaching:
o ACC participants complete 10 hours of mentor coaching. This mentorship helps the applicant improve their coaching skills, receive feedback, and deepen their understanding of coaching practices. Students will experience group mentor coaching and 1:1 with a highly qualified instructor. - Performance Evaluation:
o Coaches will submit a recording and transcript of a coaching session, which will be evaluated by Coaches {R}evolution™: Coaches {R}evolution Academy (C{R}A) according to ICF standards to determine if the coach meets the ACC level of coaching proficiency. - Coaches will begin to coach practice clients during C{R}A Coach Specific Education, and once completed with C{R}A, will continue to coaching clients with the aim of accumulating 100 hours for the ICF ACC credential.
o ACC applicants must log at least 100 hours of actual coaching experience, with a minimum of 75 hours paid coaching. - ICF’s Coaching Knowledge Assessment (CKA for ACC Applicants):
o This is a written exam that evaluates the coach’s knowledge of ICF core competencies, ethics, and coaching standards.
Benefits of the ICF ACC Credential:
- Credibility: It signifies that a coach has met a high standard of coaching training
and practice. - Global Recognition: The ICF credential is recognized globally as a mark of
professional excellence. - Professional Growth: It enhances coaching skills and career opportunities.

Awakening Professional Genius
We aim to awaken the genius and passion that transform capable professionals into truly impactful ones. Our approach blends tradition and innovation to prepare leaders and coaches who can inspire, communicate with clarity, solve complex challenges, and build resilience in themselves and others.
Coaching is a distinct profession—grounded in its own competencies, ethics, and methods of practice. Training in leadership, management, education, or technical expertise may enrich coaching, but it is no substitute for professional coach training. Across industries, many well-intentioned professionals are asked to coach without the depth of preparation required to do so skillfully and responsibly.
Effective coaching develops over time through rigorous training, reflective practice, and embodied presence. Without this foundation, coaches are more likely to rely on guessing, advising, or problem-solving prematurely—often eroding trust and limiting impact. In today’s high-stakes environments, professionals need coaches and leaders with the knowledge, discernment, and emotional capacity to navigate complexity with care.
Wars, pandemics, and divisiveness have engendered collective trauma across our nation and world. We have endured unprecedented levels of fear, uncertainty, grief, anger, and helplessness. There is a great need for highly trained and developed coaches to support individuals and organizations during this accelerated time of change. Join us to build your toolkit and discover your POWER and INFLUENCE as a coach.
